Frequently Asked Questions

What size sign will go with which accessories?

First off, it is important to know that the dimensions provided on the sign and sign accessory pages are presented as Height x Width. So, for example, an 18”x24” sign is 18” tall and 24” wide. For a sign to properly fit in a frame they must both have the exact same dimensions in their name/descriptions (i.e. 18”x30” sign will only fit in an 18”x30” sign frame, and NOT in a 30”x18” or 24”x30” frame).

For compatibility with posts and stakes, the following rules apply:
Posts - A variety of sizes and all substrates will work with a post, however, grommets are mandatory for compatibility.
Stakes – Our H-Stakes and Rider pins are only compatible with Corrugated Plastic Signs.

What sign materials do you offer, and which would you recommend?

We offer four different options for the material, or substrate, of your signs: Corrugated Plastic, Polycomb, Aluminum Composite Material (ACM), and a Reflective Aluminum Composite Material. Each have their own strengths and shine in their respective applications.

Typically, the least expensive of the four, Corrugated Plastic (4mm thick) is used for directional signs due to its lightweight design and ability to be slid over h-stakes. It has a fluted construction and is the least opaque (most see-through) of the four options. Recommended for: limited use, events, regular transporting, and tight budgets.

Our Polycomb (3mm thick) substrate is great at adding opacity, rigidity and more longevity to the lightweight portability of our Corrugated material, all at a value. It is great in frames or hung from posts when grommeted. We recommend as a lightweight, cost-effective alternative to large yard panels.

For customers looking for a substantial sign that is lighter and more versatile than a solid steel or aluminum sign, our Aluminum Composite Material (3mm thickness) is the go-to material. It is our most rigid substrate and holds up in all weather. Its construction is of two sheets of pre-finished aluminum, bonded to a polyethylene core.

Our Reflective Aluminum Composite Material has all the benefits listed above in the Aluminum Composite description, PLUS a high-intensity reflective finish.

Can I get the discounted tier-pricing if I order different designs of the same size sign?

Absolutely! When ordering with Markful, you can mix and match designs for signs of the same size and take advantage of our volume discounts!

Are there any additional shipping costs for signs?

All online sign orders shipped in the contiguous U.S. are shipped at our standard Flat Rate! Pile on the signs and frames and still pay $15.95! Due to high costs of shipping large boxes, this is not available to HI and AK customers, however, we provide a discounted carrier rate at checkout.
